Pastor Brandon Harrington
Pastor Brandon Harrington serves as the Lead Pastor at LifeBridge. He was born in Dallas, Texas on February 10, 1985. Brandon met his wife, Julia, at LifeBridge and fell in love with her while working together in youth ministry. They married on April, 20, 2013 making a family of three with Julie’s son Jacob. On December 3, 2014 their daughter Ainsley Blair Harrington was born.
Brandon surrendered his life to the ministry on July 17th, 2008. He spent the next five months gaining experience behind the pulpit by filling in for Pastors on an as needed basis all over Arkansas. By Thanksgiving that same year Brandon had heard about LifeBridge through a prayer chain, and New Year’s eve he made the move to LifeBridge and began his responsibilities as Youth Pastor January 1, 2009.
Pastor Brandon served as the Associate Pastor, minister to youth and music from January, 2009 through May, 2015. In November of 2014 under the direction of Pastor Charlie Ellison LifeBridge voted to begin a transition process which would shift Brandon from Associate Pastor to Lead Pastor, and Pastor Charlie from Senior Pastor to Executive Pastor. On May 3, 2015 the church unanimously voted to finalize the transition making Brandon LifeBridge’s new Lead Pastor. LifeBridge also at the same meeting voted to receive Pastor Bick Gibbs as the new Youth Pastor unanimously. Pastor Charlie is still very active within LifeBridge serving in membership care, teaching and administrative assistance. Pastors Brandon, Charlie and Bick have made a very effective Pastoral team within LifeBridge Baptist Church.
Pastor Brandon’s vision for LifeBridge is not unlike Pastor Charlie’s. His goal is to enrich the vision already set in place. Brandon’s passions are to teach and preach the Word of God, and make disciples. His wife Julia brings her heart and service to the church as she has served with Brandon in youth ministry, as a vocalist on the worship team, the ladies ministry leader, and is currently the churches Children’s Director.
Pastor Brandon is determined to lead LifeBridge boldly into an ever darkening future in our culture. The world needs the light of the Gospel, and LifeBridge will continue to be a light in the community of Deer Park.
Pastor Charlie Ellison
Pastor Charlie is our associate Pastor. He is the founding Pastor of LifeBridge, and served as the Senior Pastor until May, 2015. He and Linda started the church in their home with seven other people in Deer Park, TX.
Pastor Charlie was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He and his wife Linda were married August 29, 1969 in West Memphis, Arkansas. They have two children and five grandchildren. Pastor Charlie has been in the ministry forty years. (in April 2016)
He attended the Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock, Arkansas, Oxford Baptist Seminary and also the Mid-South Baptist Institute in Bogalusa, Louisiana.
He has served congregations in Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana and Texas. He served on the Arkansas State Missionary Committee. He has helped organize the Tennessee State Missionary Baptist Association, and served as the association’s first moderator. Pastor Charlie has planted churches in Somerville, TN, Baton Rouge, La, Hooks, TX and Deer Park, TX.
He was the founder of Worldwide Missionary Service which is a ministry that has served missionaries throughout the world.
He was also one of the founding directors and president of Reach America, Inc. This is aministry that has assisted with Church Planting efforts through out America.
Pastor Charlie has helped develop two projects for the Baptist Sunday School Committee in Texarkana: “The Jerusalem Priority” and also “Chosen”. These two ministries assist churches in reaching the un-churched within their local communities.
He has lead out in many Evangelist Out-Reaches for the American Baptist Association and also the Missionary Baptist Association of Texas.
He is also the founder of ABA-News which is an internet announcement service used by over 2000 churches, pastors, missionaries and others to help keep people informed as to current events of the American Baptist Association.
Pastor Charlie is a Chaplin for the Deer Park Police Department and serves on the Board for the Pasadena Strawberry Festival (San Jacinto Day Foundation)
His desire is to glorify God by making disciples who love God, love others, and live to reach their world for Jesus Christ.
Pastor Bick Gibbs
Bick Gibbs was born in Jacksonville, Tx on February 27, 1977. He grew up in Palestine, Tx. His mother still lives near Palestine and retired from teaching, and his Father lives in Houston and retired from teaching at Clear Creek High School. He has a younger brother, Travis, who lives in Virginia and works for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Bick was saved at the age of 14 and was called to ministry at the age of 18. After attending East Texas Baptist University, he served as Youth Minister at First Baptist Church, Wortham, Texas. During his time in Wortham he worked on his Masters degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. After completing his masters degree, Bick moved to Houston and has served in several churches including Airway Baptist, First Baptist Church, South Houston, Arcadia First baptist church of Santa Fe and Fellowship Church at Clear Lake City.
Through a mutual friend Bick met Pastor Brandon. That meeting led to several conversations and eventually led him to accept the Youth Pastor position on May 3, 2015.
Bick met his wife, Hannah, at LifeBridge and they married on November 19, 2017. Together, they make a great team ministering to teens.
Bick’s goal at Life Bridge is to be used by God to lead students, to know Jesus Christ and make him known by sharing the Gospel with those around them.
